The Padma Multipurpose Bridge Paragraph

The Padma Multipurpose Bridge is a multipurpose road-rail bridge across the Padma River,constructed at a cost of nearly $3.87 billion with its own resources. It will connect Louhajong,Munshiganj to Shariatpur and Madaripur, linking the south-west of the country, to northern and eastern regions. 

Padma Multipurpose Bridge is the most challenging construction project in the history of Bangladesh. It features the highest pile depth of any bridge in the world at 120m ( 390 ft). The main construction of the Padma Multipurpose Bridge had begun in 2015 when PM Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the works of the main bridge and river training. The bridge with 41 spans, 18.18m width. and 6.15 km total length, is the longest bridge in Bangladesh.

The Padma Bridge's biggest contribution will be to Bangladesh's economic growth. Economists say that it will provide a 1.2 to 2 percent boost per annum to the country's GDP. When the railway component of the bridge is completed, the project will contribute another 1 percent to the GDP. Other experts confirm that the bridge will help alleviate poverty, boost trade, tourism, and industry, and create opportunities for employment in the southwest of the country. 

After overcoming numerous setbacks and defying all odds, the Padma Multipurpose Bridge- a dream project for the people of Bangladesh- is a reality now. This bridge is not just bricks,cement, iron, and concrete, this bridge is our pride, a symbol of our capacity, our strength and our dignity.

বাংলা অনুবাদ : পদ্মা বহুমুখী সেতু হল পদ্মা নদীর উপর একটি বহুমুখী সড়ক-রেল সেতু, যা নিজস্ব সম্পদ দিয়ে প্রায় $3.87 বিলিয়ন ব্যয়ে নির্মিত। এটি লৌহজং, মুন্সীগঞ্জকে শরীয়তপুর ও মাদারীপুরের সাথে সংযুক্ত করবে, দেশের দক্ষিণ-পশ্চিমাঞ্চল, উত্তর ও পূর্বাঞ্চলের সাথে সংযুক্ত করবে। পদ্মা বহুমুখী সেতু বাংলাদেশের ইতিহাসে সবচেয়ে চ্যালেঞ্জিং নির্মাণ প্রকল্প। এটি 120 মিটার ( 390 ফুট) বিশ্বের যেকোনো সেতুর সর্বোচ্চ পাইল গভীরতার বৈশিষ্ট্যযুক্ত।

 2015 সালে প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা মূল সেতু ও নদী প্রশিক্ষণের কাজের উদ্বোধন করার সময় পদ্মা বহুমুখী সেতুর মূল নির্মাণ কাজ শুরু হয়েছিল। 41টি স্প্যান, 18.18 মিটার প্রস্থ এবং 6.15 কিলোমিটার মোট দৈর্ঘ্য বিশিষ্ট সেতুটি বাংলাদেশের দীর্ঘতম সেতু। বাংলাদেশের অর্থনৈতিক প্রবৃদ্ধিতে পদ্মা সেতুর সবচেয়ে বড় অবদান রাখবে। 

অর্থনীতিবিদরা বলছেন যে এটি দেশের জিডিপিতে প্রতি বছর 1.2 থেকে 2 শতাংশ বৃদ্ধি পাবে। সেতুর রেলওয়ে অংশ সম্পন্ন হলে প্রকল্পটি জিডিপিতে আরও ১ শতাংশ অবদান রাখবে। অন্যান্য বিশেষজ্ঞরা নিশ্চিত করেছেন যে সেতুটি দারিদ্র্য দূর করতে, বাণিজ্য, পর্যটক এবং শিল্পকে উৎসাহিত করতে এবং দেশের দক্ষিণ-পশ্চিমে কর্মসংস্থানের সুযোগ তৈরি করতে সহায়তা করবে।
